On the way to the town of Moulay Idriss, the descendant of the Prophet Mohammed and the most sacred city in the kingdom of Morocco, we depart from Volubilis to drive at the side of the dark, outlaying ridges of the Zerhoun Hills to stop for a visit. Carring On to the most beautiful Bab, or gateway, in all over the realm of Morocco – the Bab Mansour that we will have gaze,classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the majestic City of Meknes,now.we move then to the seHrej es-Souani built by Moulay Ismail’s soldiers alongside a granary of huge vaulted structures and stables next to a pool fed by subversive channels that brought fresh water all the way from the separated Middle Atlas peaks.we move on also to the Moulay Ismail tomb and the Place el-Hedim to observe the well-known horse barns of Haras that is owned by the state in which these Arabo-Berber horses proliferate.
In the afternoon, before departing Meknes around 4:40,time for lunch that is optional and not programmed, we will reach the hotel at around a quarter to six,of course this trip will remain ingrained in our memories and the only one of its kind.
